San Quirico Winery, located in the splendid hills of San Gimignano, carries on a winemaking tradition rooted in the territory, dedicating itself to the production of wines that express authenticity, quality, and respect for the environment.

 

The grapes come from vineyards cultivated with care and passion, following agricultural methods that enhance the biodiversity and identity of the Tuscan countryside.

 

The main grape varieties grown are native varieties and typical local selections:

  • White wines: dominated by Vernaccia di San Gimignano, accompanied by small amounts of Trebbiano and Malvasia.
  • Red wines: based primarily on Sangiovese, with the addition of small percentages of Merlot and Syrah.

 

In 2004, the company obtained organic certification from the Q.C. srl inspection body. The practices adopted comply with EC Regulation 834/07 and include exclusively certified organic fertilizers and the use of copper and sulfur for plant protection, completely avoiding synthetic chemicals.

 

Since 2012, the winemaking process has also been certified organic, ensuring a consistent and sustainable approach from the vineyard to the cellar.

  • San Gimignano Rosso DOC – “Botticello”
  • Vinsanto San Gimignano DOC

We also produce an excellent organic extra virgin olive oil of the finest quality.

THE EVOLUTION

San Quirico Azienda Agricola in San Gimignano began selling bottled wine in 1974, establishing itself in the best national and international markets.

 

Thanks to the use of modern technologies such as the pneumatic press, blast chiller, and a careful but moderate use of the finest French oak barrels, we are able to give our wines character and elegance that reflect the San Gimignano terroir and bring satisfaction to our constant work.
